Easton is worked from the bottom up in one piece to the armholes at which point the back and fronts are worked separately. Sleeves are worked back and forth from the bottom up and the sleeve cap is sewn into the armhole. The stitch pattern along the yoke consists of staggered lines of twisted ribbing. The layout for these lines is provided in chart format only. The buttonhole and button bands are worked as vertical applied edgings when finishing.

The Croft Shetland Colors (182 yds/ 166 m per 100g hank; 100% Shetland Wool) in color #312 Feltar—6 (7, 7, 8, 9) skeins.

Gauge:

18 sts, 24 rows =4”/10 cm in st st on larger needles after blocking. 24 sts=4”/10 cm in ribbing on larger needles after blocking.

Needles:

US Size 5 (3.75mm) and 7(4mm) long circular needles or size needed to obtain gauge (body is worked back and forth. A long circular needle is suggested to accommodate a large number of sts).
