The construction is top-down, beginning with the Back stitches which are worked down to the underarm with a bit of neck and shoulder shaping. The Front is worked the same way, and then both pieces are joined together at the underarm. From there, the body is worked in the round down to the split hi / low hem. The narrow neckband is worked by picking up sts around the neck opening and binding off with an I-cord bind off.
